Cecily grew up in an outstation called 5 Mile just outside Papunya, where she learned to paint from her father when she was a young girl.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eCecily's painting style is characteristic of the Western Desert Painters using dots and linework to tell important Dreaming stories.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eCecily often depicts significant land formations like waterholes or 'tali' (sandhills), as well as painting the Tingari Dreaming Cycle.
